It looks like reruns won't be limited to late-night television. Yes, it sucks for all of us who burn the midnight oil to only watch old sketches from Conan O'Brien, but it looks like some primetimers are going to feel the hit as well.

NBC's Bionic Woman was forced to shut down on November 9th, long before its scheduled December 12th close, thanks in part to lacking scripts.

Bionic Woman, Battlestar Galactica Shut Down

NBC isn't the only network feeling the effects of the WGA strike, as Sci Fi Channel was also forced to close shop early on one of their big productions. Battlestar Galactica will be calling it quits by the end of the weekend. Expected to wrap in mid-March, the show has already burned through all of its available scripts.

Ken Ferguson, president of Toronto Film Studios says the value of the Canadian dollar is as much to blame as the WGA Strike when it comes to the Bionic Woman. With the US dollar losing strength, studios aren't enjoying the savings they once had by shooting up North.

An influence, yes, but when there are no scripts there are no new episodes.
