Transformers Transformers
Now that we are entering the thick of summer blockbusters, we figured it was time to overhaul the CanMag Top Ten list. By doing so, we have pulled Spider-Man 3, Pirates 3, Rise of the Silver Surfer and Knocked Up off the list. Who to replace them?

Transformers Hot, Harry Potter... Not So Much

With the loss of those films we have picked up Underdog, The Bourne Ultimatum, Iron Man and Live Free or Die Hard. But before we get to them, here is what the Top Ten looked like back in April:

Spider-Man 3 (620,234 views)
Transformers (448,640 views)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (213,648 views)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (211,896 views)
Indiana Jones 4 (146,338 views)
Resident Evil: Extinction (70,656 views)
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (50,720 views)
Knocked Up (11,828 views)
The Golden Compass (11,306 views)
Rush Hour 3 (8,464 views)

With the loss of Spider-Man 3, Transformers has easily slid into the number one spot. So what's up with Order of the Phoenix?

Transformers (509,260 views)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (246,413 views)
Indiana Jones 4 (165,022 views)
Resident Evil: Extinction (81,262 views)
The Golden Compass (23,846 views)
Rush Hour 3 (21,090 views)
Underdog (11,104 views)
The Bourne Ultimatum (9,964 views)
Iron Man (7,444 views)
Live Free or Die Hard (7,213 views)

The biggest shocker of the updated list is the fact that Transformers is absolutely kicking OotP's ass. Since Goblet of Fire held the top spot on the CanMag Top Ten during its release, one has to wonder what's going on here. One reason could be that Paramount has released five times the media updates for Transformers that Warner Bros has for Potter. More updates obviously means more page views. That really is my only theory, and even that shouldn't suggest such a spread.

The top four films have got their positions locked, with only Iron Man and The Golden Compass having enough time to catch up before their own theatrical release.

But back to the biggest concern... What film is going to win the July bout: Transformers or Order of the Phoenix? I smell a debate coming on!

That's the updated top 10! Agree or disagree with the most popular* films on CanMag.Com? Let us know!

Stay tuned for updates.

*popularity is judged by how many times each movie page has been opened.
