Major League Wild Thing Edition DVD Major League Wild Thing Edition
Major League is a comedy classic, one of those movies that you just can't turn off if you cross it on cable. Even though double dipping can be annoying, the previous DVD release was movie-only, so seeing alternate and archival footage from it is worth at least a new rental.

DVD Review: Major League Wild Thing Edition

The alternate ending is a major reversal, one that would have rendered the mediocre sequel Major League II invalid. Crappy video quality makes it feel authentic, like a secret buried treasure from an alternate universe.

PR footage from the '80s has Dennis Haysbert remaining in character as Cerrano, which is quite a treat given his heavy gravitas these days. Making of… spots and real balers commenting on the film are fluff pieces, but they got big names back to talk about it and you know how I feel about found footage from my childhood…

Major League Wild Thing Edition is out on DVD now.
