will be arriving a little early with an international bow at Cannes.
Cannes Premiere: Ocean's 13
With a very competitive summer, the best way to Garner some added attention to your film is to line it up for Cannes. Warner Bros is hoping that the film's lead actors -- George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Al Pacino, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, etc -- will join in on the festivities.
Being a high profile item could be risky, however, as Sony quickly learned last year with The Da Vinci Code. The studio still feels that the film's early bashing from jet-lagged critics hurt Da Vinci's overall box office take. Then again, films such as Shrek 2 and X-Men: The Last Stand have been rocketed into exaggerated box office numbers thanks to Cannes.
Ocean's 13 will be Warner Bros' third out-of-competition presence in Cannes in recent years, following Troy in 2004 and The Matrix Reloaded in 2003.
