It's official - Rowan Atkinson is ageless. Though it has been just about seven years since the first Johnny English, Universal Pictures is looking to give the franchise another shot with a sequel.

Johnny English Sequel in the Works

Why make another Johnny English? Well, the franchise has so far been a good investment. The first installment, costing $40 million, ended up taking $161 million worldwide.

The move by Universal to re-ignite Johnny English seems to fit the recent theory that the studio will be shying away from heavier films and returning to box office friendly comedies. Can't exactly blame them, considering that high profile films like Public Enemies, State of Play and Green Zone failed to perform with audiences.

Oliver Parker has been hired to direct.
