Old Dogs
Old Dogs goes from a passable generic comedy to an aggressively uncomfortable piece of crazy with its disturbing, frantic energy. The high definition quality of Blu Ray only emphasizes that effect.
Old Dogs on Blu-Ray
Gags like the spray tan, bear poop, CG facial twitches and depth perception are extreme on Blu Ray. It’s so aggressive and in your face, this silly comedy becomes A Clockwork Orange.
It’s a glossy Hollywood movie where the New York streets, the park, sharp sets and fabulous hair look clear and crisp. There is lots of grain in the backgrounds, like a spritz on the film. Kelly Preston looks gorgeous with freckles that I’ve never seen before on regular old film. Nobody looks bad, but Robin Williams does show off all his hairy glory.
