Just when Rachel Weisz thought she'd be bored on set of the indie political drama, The Whistleblower, three more big names have joined up; plus two others.

Vanessa Redgrave, David Strathairn and Monica Bellucci have signed on for The Whistleblower, which will be directorial debut for Larysa Kondracki. To fill out the callsheet, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Anna Anissimova have been cast as well.
Based on a true story, The Whistleblower centers on a policewoman, played by Weisz, who risks her job and her own safety to uncover and bring to light a scandal involving both American contractors and the United Nations in postwar Bosnia.
Kondracki and Eilis Kirwan wrote the film, which begins shooting next week in Romania.
