After making us laugh for years on Friends, David Schwimmer is going dark with his upcoming drama Trust. To get the ball rolling, he and Millenium Films have cast Clive Owen and Catherine Keener to star.
Clive Owen and Catherine Keener for Trust
Schwimmer will direct off a story he came up with, though the finalized script is from Andy Bellin. Trust is a dark drama about the damaging effects an online sexual predator has on a family.
Owen and Keener will play the parents of a 14-year-old girl who are stunned to discover she has been victimized by an adult who gained her trust posing as a teenager on a chat room. Newcomer Liana Liberato has been cast to play the daughter.
Filming begins November 9th in Michigan.
Both Owen and Keener have films coming to theaters shortly. You can see the actress in Where the Wild Things Are this weekend and Owen in The Boys Are Back.
