Bryan Singer
Bryan Singer is most definitely back. After a bit of post-Valkyrie downtime, the director is picking up projects including Jack the Giant Killer.
Singer to Direct Jack the Giant Killer
New Line and Legendary Pictures have signed on Singer to direct Jack the Giant Killer. Penned by Mark Bomback and Darren Lemke, the film is set in motion when a princess is kidnapped, threatening a long-standing peace between men and giants. A young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giants' kingdom in hopes of rescuing her.
Jack the Giant Killer sounds perfect for Singer and, might I add, one of the geekiest (in the most awesome sense of the word) projects I've heard of for some time.
After the hiatus, Giant Killer is the third project for Singer in the last two months, with the other two being Battlestar Galactica (meh) and Excalibur (awesome).
