Primeval
Fans of the BBC dino-monster show get a few nice extras in their second DVD set. Two simple featurettes get the job done and episode commentaries provide a nice banter.
On DVD: Primeval Volume 2
The “Cutter’s Odyssey” featurette is an interview with Douglas Henshall that covers the character plot-wise, and discusses behind the scenes challenges of shooting the series. “Genesis of a Creature” takes you step by step through the development of a new monster, via a fan’s submission and education.
The commentaries have their obvious moments, and get through the necessary group congratulations, but when they get rolling they make some fun references and have a good time discussing the show for the viewer.
