Sunshine Cleaning
Sunshine Cleaning is a nice looking Blu Ray for a little indie movie. The transfer is of the same quality as a big studio movie, with clear images, crisp lines and strong colors. It’s one of those “you are there” transfers, which makes some sense because it’s a brand new film probably prepped with HD in mind.
On Blu-Ray: Sunshine Cleaning
The settings are more mundane but getting to see that detail in HD really shows off why Blu Ray is so great. You see all the grit of the crime scenes, and the realistic pallet of the daily life of glamour-less people. There are nice looking landscapes in the “scope” widescreen presentation.
It’s certainly the best way to watch the movie. I missed it on the press screening circuit and in theaters, but it would have looked blurry and fuzzy on film. I got to see it in perfect crisp clarity on Blu Ray.
