Go
Sony can make a Blu Ray look great and Go got decent treatment. It’s not a staple in their catalog so it’s not like a killer restoration. But the movie looks good, better than film in some scenes and at worst a product of the cinematic climate of the ‘90s.
On Blu-Ray: Go
Scenes like the desert highway, the supermarket, inside a van at the rave, and surprisingly the red lit strip club hold up clearly. Grainier settings include the rave and most nighttime scenes. The epilogue scenes even have a heightened, surreal smooth look.
There are great colors, red and yellow shiny cars, pink neon, and flashy clothes. You see some grit in the seedier scenes. Nothing that would make Go a surprising home theater demo but fans of the film should be happy with its HD preservation.
