Got to hand it to author Robert Ludlum. Universal Pictures has been in love with him since the first Bourne installment; it's just too bad he's no longer around to feel the overwhelming appreciation. With the Bourne trilogy completed, the studio has picked up one of the author's other thrillers - The Parsifal Mosaic.
To show their love for the material, Uni has picked up Ron Howard to direct.
Ron Howard to Direct The Parsifal Mosaic
David Self has been given the responsibility of adapting the novel, which centers on a CIA operative who thinks he witnessed the execution of his lover after she was identified as a KGB double agent.
The adaptation will not distract from Bourne, which currently has a fourth installment in the works with Paul Greengrass still onboard to direct.
Universal has first-look rights to all the late author's books, and Parsifal Mosaic has been on their radar. No production date has been set, however.
