Toy Story 3
It's been a long time since the last Toy Story installment. Knowing this, Pixar is re-releasing Toy Story and Toy Story 2 to theaters as a double feature. As a little icing on the cake, both films will be presented in Disney Digital 3D. By then we should hopefully be prepped for Toy Story 3 and its 3D concoction.
Toy Story and Toy Story 2 Do Double Engagement in 3D
Originally released in 1999, Toy Story 2 went on to become one of the most popular animated features of all time. The film picks up as Andy is heading off to Cowboy Camp and the toys are left to their own devices. When an obsessive toy collector named Al McWhiggin (owner of Al’s Toy Barn) kidnaps Woody, and Woody learns that he’s a highly valued collectable from a 1950s TV show called “Woody’s Roundup,” the stage is set for a daring rescue attempt by the gang from Andy’s room. The film introduced such other memorable characters from “Woody’s Roundup” as Jessie the cowgirl, Bullseye the horse, and the Prospector.

Though we were originally told not to expect Toy Story and Toy Story 2 until February 12th, 2010, it looks like Pixar has lost patience. Works for us, as it only means we'll be seeing the 3D versions even sooner. The 3D engagement kicks off on October 2nd and goes for two weeks.
