Though I still think Twilight is all sorts of lame -- Potter can smite all these fools -- I do have to admit to being impressed with the news of Bryce Dallas Howard joining the cast of installment number three -- The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Bryce Dallas Howard has been cast to replace Rachelle Lefevre as the character of Victoria in Eclipse. Though Lefevre did just fine as the character in the first two installments, scheduling conflict for the third installment has forced her to leave the production. Another sign that Summit is rushing this franchise? Yes - I think so.
Though Moon is still in production, Eclipse is set to begin filming in August under the direction of David Slade in order to make its scheduled theatrical release date of June 30, 2010.
"We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," said Erik Feig, Summit's president of worldwide production and acquisitions. "Rachelle brought Victoria to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role."
