The adaptation of Roger Smith's novel, Mixed Blood, is making some serious ground with Samuel L. Jackson onboard to co-star and Phillip Noyce to direct.
Samuel L. Jackson for Mixed Blood
Scripted by Kelly Masterson, Mixed Blood will center on an American fugitive being forced to make violent and terrifying choices to protect his family while drawing the attention of murderers, kidnappers, corrupt cops and a detective. Jackson has been cast to play the detective.
With production set to begin next year, the project still has plenty of time to find its cops, kidnappers and murderers, let alone the title character.
A Bigger Boat, GreeneStreet Films and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment are co-financing and producing the project.
Jackson doesn't have much left in store for 2009, save for some narration he did for Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.
