Javier Bardem is in negotiations with Columbia Pictures to co-star in Eat, Pray, Love, which I swear was his character's slogan in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

If Bardem agrees to join the cast, he will star alongside Julia Roberts and Richard Jenkins.
In Eat, Pray, Love, Roberts plays author Elizabeth Gilbert, and Bardem will play Felipe, the man Gilbert meets and falls in love with on the final leg of a journey of self-discovery that began with the end of her marriage. Richard Jenkins plays a Texan whom the heroine befriends at an Indian ashram.
Ryan Murphy -- you may remember his other feature film, Running with Scissors -- will direct off a script he wrote.
