After scoring a hit to the likes of Star Trek one would think that Chris Pine would already have a plethora of gigs lined up. Not so! The actor is in talks with 20th Century Fox to co-star alongside Denzel Washington in Unstoppable. If he agrees, this will be his first role since Trek.

To be directed by Tony Scott off a script by Mark Bomback, Unstoppable will have Pine play a young conductor who jumps into a locomotive with an experienced engineer (Washington) in chase of a runaway train that carries a cargo of toxic chemicals. If the story sounds somewhat familiar, that is because it is 'loosely' based on real events.
If for some reason Pine does pass on the offer, there are plenty still available to the actor. For the time being, he's the pick of the litter.
