It has surprisingly been a slow week for adaptation, which somehow made the news feel out of place. Get the quota back on track, Warner Bros. has acquired the screen rights to the AIT/Planet Lar graphic novel Hetch. The studio is hoping the adaptation will serve as a starring vehicle for Danny McBride, who has also been brought on to write the script with Shawn Harwell.

Warner Bros. Combines Hench and Danny McBride

In Hetch, McBride will play a football player who suffers a career-ending injury and needs a job. He signs on as henchman to a successful villain.

The original graphic novel was created by Adam Beechen and Manny Bello.

McBride can next be seen opposite Will Ferrell in Land of the Lost.
