Director Larysa Kondracki's feature debut, the indie political drama The Whistleblower, is off to a good start with the casting of Rachel Weisz.

Based on a true story, The Whistleblower chronicles the trials of a female cop from Nebraska who serves as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia and exposes a United Nations cover-up of a sex trafficking scandal. .
Kondracki wrote the script with Ellis Kirwin, which they based on the story of Kathryn Bolkovac, who traveled to Bosnia in 1999 as a U.N. peacekeeper.
The project was originally set up at Focus Features, but HBO Films recently picked it up in turnaround.
Weisz has got quite a few films coming our way including The Brothers Bloom and The Lovely Bones.
