Emma Stone has been cast to star in Easy A, a comedy that will act as a high school retelling of Nathaniel Hawthorne's classic novel, The Scarlett Letter.
Emma Stone for Easy A
Directed by Will Gluck off a script by New York playwright Bert V. Royal, Easy A centers on a student who sees her life paralleling Hawthorne’s heroine Hester Prynne after she pretends to be the school slut in hopes she’ll benefit from the notion she’s promiscuous.
The film is set to enter production shortly in Ojai, California.
Stone is currently filming the horror-comedy Zombieland for Columbia Pictures. She will next be seen in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.
