After losing Robin Wright Penn and Brittany Robertson, Rodrigo Garcia's Mother and Child is making a comeback. Picking up Annette Bening and Naomi Watts as replacements, the project has recovered its cast.

Written and directed by Rodrigo Garcia, Mother and Child is a multilayered drama that follows a woman who gave up her daughter 35 years ago and an African-American woman who is looking to adopt.
So then who will play the African-American woman? Since both Watts and Bening are a bit too pasty for the gig, Kerry Washington and Shareeka Epps also star.
Mother and Child has been given a production budget of $7 million.
