It was only a matter of time, really. Since every "actor with an edge" is getting them, it seemed like a countdown for Shia LaBeouf. After showing aggression problems with alcohol within the past year, the 22 year-old actor was arrested Sunday morning for suspicion of drunk driving.
The police had reason to be suspicious, as it was LaBeouf who caused an early-morning wreck at a West Hollywood intersection.
Shia LaBeouf Earns a DUI
First question: Why the hell wasn't Shia LaBeouf at Comic Con? I saw Tyrese there and, while that in no way gives an excuse for LaBeouf to be there, it does show that your usual array of big-budget actors do show up for the convention.
But I digress...
Los Angeles County Sheriff Sgt. Scott Wolf reports that LaBeouf collided his pickup with another vehicle, causing it to roll.
"It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest," Wolf said.
Wolf said LaBeouf was booked then released for misdemeanor DUI. The 22-year-old actor was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was being treated for injuries to his left hand and a knee, as well as a minor head injury, Wolf said.
Two other women were involved in the incident -- one of which was Shia's passenger -- but neither was injured.
