Hasbro Game Night
What does it say about society that instead of playing actual board games with human beings, we have video games of the board games? Well, whatever it means, I'm more likely to play Hasbro Game Night than most involved video games. I like the basic quick play challenge.
Hasbro Game Night
Boggle is my kind of game. Since I'm a writer, I like to find words. The video game version slows me down a little, moving the cursor to each letter. I definitely don't like the Wii remote version, but I should be able to handle a hard controller.
Special game modes make these titles unique to the video game world. Panic mode, reshuffling the letters of Boggle, completely changes the game. I would say on games under two minutes, there isn't enough time to get the advantage of two boards in one game, but with longer time limits it should be fun.
Sorry Sliders is a great party game, because you can knock out your opponents. That lends itself more to Wii because it actually measures the strength of your throw, but analog sticks should be just as fun. I just don't imagine how Sorry Sliders the board game would be any fun without the cool video game additions.
Connect Four with power ups offers another nuance to the strategy. So I'm already hooked on the three mini games I demoed. I'm excited to see how the other games play.
