So I Married an Axe Murderer
Wow, So I Married an Axe Murderer is 15 years old. I remember going to see the sneak preview thinking I was so cool seeing a movie a week before it was actually coming out. I also remember being unable to see the movie a week after it came out because it was already gone. People have discovered it now.
On Blu-Ray: So I Married an Axe Murderer
It's a solid Blu Ray, obviously not a stunning modern deal but full of HD moments for its age. The city lights at night contrast from dark but clear interiors. There is some grain but it's shiny and colorful.
The lighting of the poetry club is cool with yellows and purples depending on where the characters stand. There are a lot of great locations, sites of San Francisco, Bohemian lofts, Alcatraz, city vistas. The characters spend a lot of time on rooftops and decks.
The split screen effect of Mike Myers playing the dual role is invisible. Perhaps they retouched and blended it to be safe. In closeups on dad, you dod see the makeup painted on the prosthetics. I think that's cool, a look into the process.
