There are plenty of visual set pieces in Semi-Pro to look great on Blu Ray. All the '70s colors with the costumes and uniforms particularly emphasize yellows and aqua blues. Some of Jackie Moon's flamboyant outfits sparkle, and the mascot outfits show all the detail of paint streaks and Styrofoam knots.

The basketball scenes let the court itself glow yellow. It's lit better than actual sports, but it's also dark in the stands because it's so empty. Real sports just use flat lighting so you can see everything, so this creates a slightly more heightened tone.
The pasty white guys look scarily unhealthy in this much detail, but Will Ferrell's hair shows off many minute highlights. Each curl is a different tint. Scenes of Flint, Michigan are pretty gritty. At night the streets are wet and shiny, during the day it's just overcast with paint chipping from buildings.
There are some lighting hints in various scenes, some film grain too which maybe ads to the '70s feel. The poker scene has a shockingly bright red table top. Basically, this is a modern movie so it's crisp and new on Blu Ray.
