The cast of Amelia continues to grow with the arrival of Ewan McGregor. The actor has signed on to co-star with Hilary Swank in the biopic.

McGregor is the fourth name to board Amelia, right behind Hilary Swank, Richard Gere and Virginia Madsen.
To be directed by Mira Nair off a script by Ronald Bass, Amelia centers on the legendary aviatrix (Swank) and chronicles her rise to fame, marriage to publisher George Putnam (Gere) and passionate affair with Gene Vidal (McGregor), father of author Gore Vidal.
Fox Searchlight have been trying to get their hands on Ewan McGregor for Amelia for some time, but scheduling conflicts
have caused delays in his casting. The Scotland-born actor is currently working opposite Jim Carrey in I Love You, Philip Morris and is expected to begin filming Angels & Demons early June. With Philip Morris set to wrap, McGregor will take advantage of his small window for Amelia.
