While Steven Spielberg is bound to remain busy the next few weeks with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull coming to theaters, he next plans to return to history. Munich was good, yes, but he's going back even further.
Steven Spielberg to Focus on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War
While out talking Indy, Steven Spielberg told the German magazine Focus that he will return his attention to our nation's 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, which will begin filming early next year. He does, however, have one project to do before going Civil.
Spielberg is already scheduled to begin shooting Tintin early this fall.
Tintin will go back to back with his Lincoln film, something Spielberg excels at. The project already has a strong script by Angels in America playwright Tony Kushner. The same dude who did final edits to the Munich screenplay.
