Now that the writer's strike is over, everyone is waiting for hit TV shows to return with new episodes. Before April, there is one more new series that was held over to fill in the gap. Miss Guided stars Judy Greer as a guidance counselor with Chris Parnell as her vice principal.
Parnell is Miss/Guided
"March 18th after Dancing with the Stars, and then it moves to its regular night two nights later on Thursday," Parnell plugged. "It comes and goes in three weeks, so tune in quickly. Hopefully we’ll get to do more."
Miss Guided was intended for a fall debut, but circumstances led it to its current place. "I think originally the pilot happened like a year ago and then they took a character out and added my character and then we shot these episodes and inserted me into the pilot."
A single camera comedy, Parnell welcomes the more controlled style after years of live TV. "I prefer it. I like it better actually. Doing SNL was great, and having done other multi-camera sitcoms, it’s fun and it’s less work really. It’s more like making a little movie every week. It’s less pressure because there’s not an audience that you’re trying to face and get a response from. You’re just kind of able to be in the moment more and connect with the other actors. You’re not driving towards a punch line as much and that kind of thing. I prefer it, I’d rather do 30 Rock and Miss Guided and something like The Office, that kind of stuff."
