A while back I made a promise that CanMag would get geeked all over Eragon once the summer blockbusters began to close out. Because of this promise we now continuously receive tons of updates from Inheritance supporters who either supply new information or are just trying to help. To all of you I can only say 'thank you' and that I greatly appreciate your emails and your support.
Over the past couple of weeks we have received quite a few big updates from 'Joel' including a larger poster and what looks to be a map of Alagaësia created by Fox.
Our latest update comes from 'Kris', who pointed out that we might want to bring some attention back to the books.
Possible Third Inheritance Book Title- Empire
'Kris' has sent over a link for Wikipedia where the site now predicts that the third book in the Inheritance Trilogy from author Christopher Paolini may be titled Empire. How did they come to such a conclusion? Well, let's take a look and see shall we.
Although at this point it is currently unknown what the official title is, Christopher Paolini has confirmed that it will follow the same style as its predecessors (beginning with an e and having six letters in total): thus it will be something similar to E-----.
The cover is one of the few things confirmed by Paolini. Apparently the cover will feature a green dragon looking to the right.
Paolini has said that it is possible that Eragon may have unknown family members that have not been introduced so far in the series, though he did not confirm this.
Paolini also mentioned that in book 3 it will be revealed if Saphira ever finds a mate.
The site even goes on to predict who the next Dragon Rider will be.
The next Rider may be Arya Dröttningu, and her dragon may become Saphira's mate. This may create the additional impetus necessary for Eragon and Arya to become romantically involved as well. Arya is also of royal blood and Angela predicted that Eragon would love someone of noble birth. However, this is thought unlikely because Arya has three times rejected Eragon's attempts to court her.
Roran is a likely candidate, as he shows leadership abilities and is the cousin of a Rider - this would make a family of Riders: Morzan, his sons Eragon and Murtagh, and their cousin Roran.
The next Rider may be a female elf to keep the balance, as both Eragon and Murtagh are male humans.
The site has quite a few theories on who the next Dragon Rider will be and why. I chose the three above because they are my favorite.
Head on over to Wikipedia to check out all of the predictions for the third Inheritance book.
And, while you're at it, cross your fingers that 20th Century Fox makes an unbelievable film with Eragon.
For the movie poster, stills, featurette, synopsis and more movie info, go to the Eragon Movie Page.
We promised that we will be pretty geeked this year on every update for this film... so stay tuned.
