Clooney and Soderbergh George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh- BFF
I enjoy talking about the film The Good German because it allows me to shout 'Halt die Klappe!' But really, this Steven Soderbergh project that includes not only George Clooney but Kate Blanchet is starting to make some real ground. Warum you ask?

The Good German

Ok, Kate Blanchet is not a guarentee for the film yet. But, according to TheHollywoodReporter, Kate Blanchet is currently in negotiations to co-star in the romantic thriller with George Clooney [who is on board]. The story of The Good German is an interesting mix that features an Allied summit meeting about the split of Germany after World War II with a love and murder thrown in.

Here is a little of what TheHollywoodReporter had to say about The Good German:

"German" follows an American journalist who is sent to cover the Allied summit meeting that will carve out control of post-World War II Germany. However, the reporter is secretly there to search for a lost love, and when the body of an American soldier washes up in the Russian zone, he is plunged into a murder mystery.

Soderbergh and Clooney are have grown to become BFF [best friends forever] since their first film together-- Out of Sight [I liked it]. Since then the 'couple' has made three additional films with The Good German as lucky number five.

Stay tuned for updates.
