The biggest topic on Star Wars, other
than Revenge of the Sith,
is the spreading rumors about the upcoming Star Wars television
series. So far the series has been confirmed, but we know little more than
that. So, any news about the series is good news... including this.
Lucas plans to reveal all after May 19th.
Star Wars TV
got a scoop sent to them by an inside source over at Hasbro stating some
news from the Star Wars television series. As most Star Wars
fans know, Lucas knows how to make the extra buck through Hasbro toys and
action figures. So it is very likely that Lucas is already in negotiations
with the toy company for a new television series line.
Here is a little of what was posted from the insider at Hasbro.
Without getting anyone's butt in trouble, especially my own, I wanted to let you know that there's a "Star Wars" TV series in the works - because we've just got the contract for the new line. Barrage of new characters in the show that I've never heard of (sans a couple), but someone said it's along the lines of 'Young Indiana Jones' and it could have Mark Hamill reprising his role as Luke Skywalker for several episodes. George Lucas is involved, but only in the creative sense. A Lucas Film rep told another of the guys here that they're going to be testing a mass of young actors for the roles. I'm keen myself to find out who's playing [hint] 'the original owner of the Falcon'.
