In our article 'Revenge
of the Sith Journeys to Hell', we mentioned that George Lucas was going
to appear on CBS for 60 Minutes. In the interview with Lucas, he
offers them some exclusive behind the scenes and mentions why Revenge
of the Sith will be the first of the Star Wars
films to bo PG-13. If you had missed some of the interview, there is now
a nice one and a half minute snippet from 60 Minutes online.
Lucas on 60 Minutes
Lucas on 'Completely Digital'
If you have been following the developments of
Star Wars since The Phantom Menace, you should know that
the film is shot entirely on digital media. This fact is pointed out in
the CBS interview plus the nice addition that there are even points where
Anakin and Obi-Wan are just CG creations [hoping that actually looks OK
on screen]. They even show a quick shot of what the duel between Anakin
and Obi-Wan look like when computer generated; something I thought still
looked a bit too CGI.
I am sure there a lot of fans kicking themselves
for missing the interview, so here is a small taste of what you missed.
