On Sunday, March 13, at 7 p.m. ET/PT, you will
be able to see George Lucas describe the upcoming Star Wars films
and the reason why it may become in the only film in the Star Wars
saga that won't be rated the standard PG. All I have to say to this is 'Thank
God!', the previous films felt too 'kiddie' to take seriously. We need a
Revenge of the Sith Rating PG-13
While it is not official as of yet, I am hoping
that Revenge of the Sith
gets a MPAA rating of PG-13. Remember, this is supposed to be the 'dark
film', and what kind of 'dark film' gets a PG. I've seen animations with
higher ratings! So, here's hoping for PG-13.
Here is a little bit of what George Lucas had to
say to 60 Minutes [airs Sunday] about
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith:
I don't think I would take a 5- or a 6-year-old to this... It's way too strong.
We're going to watch him make a pact with the devil
Yes...the lava at the end...it ends in Hell
[The film] is much more dark...more emotional. It's much more of a tragedy. My feeling is that it will probably be a PG-13, so it will be the first 'Star Wars' that's a PG-13.
