Warner Bros has released the sixth video journal for their upcoming adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel 300 with Lena Headey, resident queen, as our guide through the film's sets.
300 Video Journal- Lena Headey
Before we take a look at the diary, we have also been alerted that 300 has been given an 'R' rating by the MPAA. We already had the film pegged at 'R' and when the MPAA made the announcement our reaction was something like this: "Come on buddy, come on buddy; people here knew this Sin City style film was going to be given an 'R'." If it was given anything less we would have been disappointed.
The sixth video journal for 300 shows off the beautiful Lena Headey -- Gerard Butler is a lucky man -- and some more sets from the film. Gerard Butler claims that Headey is great because she is "tough," but I would have to assume her skimpy outfits make her extra great for the male cast ensemble. By the end of the clip it looks as if the cast is having a blasty-blast on set but I am still unsure about the homo-erotic finish by showing the chiseled bodies of some of the male leads.
We get it, these guys got cut for this film.
Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.
