Now that Superman Returns has struck theatres with a little icing on the cake thanks to the Spider-Man 3 teaser, moviegoers are being drawn back into the comic book films.
OK, OK, maybe they never left... it just sounded good.
Anywho, David Goyer recently sat down with TV Guide to discuss the Blade series and among the discussions both the sequel to Batman Begins and The Flash were brought up.
Goyer on Batman Begins Sequel and The Flash
In an interview with TV Guide David Goyer discusses everything from the possibility of more Blade films to a new film franchise for The Flash. Though Goyer is unsure about more Blade films, though we may be able to expect Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel for spin-offs, he does announce that there have been new developments for both the Batman sequel and The Flash.
TVGuide.com: Your film fans and comic fans would love to know what's happening with The Flash. Goyer: I just turned in the script. I'm revising it. Soon it will go into the studio proper.
TVGuide.com: How about the Batman Begins sequel? Goyer: [That] is in the works as well. [Director] Chris Nolan is editing The Prestige right now, and as soon as that is finished, we're all talking about that going into much higher gear.
TVGuide.com: Is the cast returning? Goyer: I believe that's the intent.
Of course the cast is returning; some of the leads have multi-sequel contracts. I also dig the idea of Ryan Reynolds having his own Hannibal King movie and why not another comic book franchise with The Flash?
