The final trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's Lady in the Water and it looks pretty slick.
Lady in the Water Trailer
Even with a trailer that shows as much as this third trailer for Lady, it is hard to tell what exactly is going on in director Shyamalan's world. Sure, we have a girl that somehow surfaced out of the pool and a whole other world that not only puts her in danger but the residents at The Cove apartment complex.
Being that it is an M. Night Shyamalan film we do know one thing for sure -- expect a major twist or two.
In Lady in the Water, a story originally conceived by Shyamalan for his children, a modest building manager named Cleveland Heep (Paul Giamatti) rescues a mysterious young woman (Bryce Dallas Howard) from danger and discovers she is actually a narf, a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the treacherous journey from our world back to hers. Cleveland and his fellow tenants start to realize that they are also characters in this bedtime story.
As Cleveland falls deeper and deeper in love with the woman, he works together with the tenants to protect his new fragile friend from the deadly creatures that reside in this fable and are determined to prevent her from returning home.
Prevent her from returning home? The trailer makes it look like they are trying to prevent her and her new friends from living another day.
