Some folks from the WRNC have sent over a couple new alerts for the upcoming film A Scanner Darkly.

Scanner Darkly Clips and Video Review

A Scanner Darkly is set in suburban Orange County, California in a future where America has lost the war on drugs. When one reluctant undercover cop is ordered to start spying on his friends, he is launched on a paranoid journey into the absurd, where identities and loyalties are impossible to decode. It is a cautionary tale of drug use based on the novel by Philip K. Dick and his own experiences.

MTV Overdrive has recently put up a boatload of new clips for A Scanner Darkly that feature Richard Linklater as he describes the film and the animation process behind it; called interpolated rotoscoping. Amongst some of the dialogue we are given new sequences from the film to watch. Hope you have some time, because there are a ton of them.

Check them out at MTV Overdrive.

Roger Ebert's video review for A Scanner Darkly has also appeared over at YouTube. Check it out below:

A Scanner Darkly comes to theatres on July 7th.
