Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is currently in production and it turns out that Warner Bros is planning on spending almost an entire year filming.
In a recent discussion with Jason Isaacs -- who plays a much bigger Lucius Malfoy this time around -- the actor admits that he isn't needed on set until September.
Isaacs Talks Order of the Phoenix
The LA Daily News recently caught up with Jason Isaacs and the actor explained why the production of Order of the Phoenix is so extended.
"They started in February, but they go until the end of the year because they broke for some of the young actors to take their summer exams," explains Isaacs, who had to postpone his part in order to complete a British TV series.
"My bit is in September and October. It's a big blue-screen battle for a lot of it so that will be a laugh," he says. He adds, "We always have to sign these incredible confidentiality clauses where we offer up our children's eyeballs if we ever break them. I've never quite understood since they're the most popular books on the planet, but anyway, I think I'm involved in the big battle."
If you have read the Harry Potter books than you already know that the character Lucius Malfoy has a much bigger role this time around and should definitely appear in the 'big battle.'
Since the books continue to get darker, expect more major characters to die in this installment; perhaps during the 'big battle'? (wink)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released on July 13th, 2007.
