Superman Returns Superman Returns
For those of you still trying to figure how Warner Bros blew more money on Superman Returns than some countries have in their entire GDP, the film's epic running time may be one of the answers.

Superman Returns Running Time

We have been alerted that the total running time for Superman Returns is pretty dang long. What, you want more details? Fine.

The total running time for Superman Returns, including credits, comes in at 153 minutes. For the lay person, that is two hours and thirty-three minutes. Now, assuming that a lot of different hands went into Singer's Superman, we should expect that the credits will be somewhere between four to five minutes. So, the actual film will be somewhere near 148 minutes. Ok, and if you are feeling about doing a little more math...

Superman Returns is expected to have a ton of trailers to play before it. Taking those into account, add another ten to fifteen minutes onto your theatre stay.

How long will you be sitting in the theatre exactly? Assuming you will be sitting in the theatre at least half an hour early, have ~twelve minutes of trailers and a running time of 153 minutes with credits, that means your ass will be on a theatre seat for about 195 minutes! For the lay person, that is a whopping three hours and fifteen minutes.

Holy crap!

Not that I am complaining, I just felt like doing a little math.

Trailers we can expect to see before the showing? How about the teaser for Eragon and Spider-Man 3?

Update: It has come to our attention that it was SHH who discovered the exact running time for Superman Returns. So thanks to them!

Superman Returns will fly into theatres on June 27th.
