Jackson Accepts Empire's Award for King Kong
It is good to finally see Peter Jackson's King Kong getting the love that it most certainly deserves. After getting hailed by critics, the film was predicted to be the next Titanic to hit theatres. Instead, the film's domestic box office take was barely enough to cover its budget and the amount of viewers, for this type of film, fell much shorter than expected.
To throw a little bit of gas on the flame, King Kong wasn't nominated for any major award categories at the 78th Annual Academy Awards. Fortunately, Empire has picked up the slack in a big way.
Each award comes with an acceptance video. All the videos are fun to watch, but Peter Jackson's acceptance clip for King Kong takes the cake. In what can only be called the 'F@ck Reel', Peter Jackson laughs at how King Kong didn't get the love that it should have and offers tons of hilarious clips from the set of King Kong that should have you go from chuckling to laughing out loud.
Watching Jack Black stumble on lines is classic.
Besides outtakes and little jokes, there are also additional clips that look like they were made solely with the fans in mind. Thanks again Jackson!

King Kong comes to DVD on March 28th.
