Jessica Alba Jessica Alba
If I were to run into Hayden Christensen today I would quickly shake his hand. Even though his portrayal of Anakin in Attack of the Clones was a little rough on the edges, he easily made it up with his fall to Vader in Revenge of the Sith. But never mind all that, the guy now gets to work side by side with Jessica Alba in the upcoming film Awake. Lucky dog!

Alba and Christensen are Awake

According to Variety, reposted at MovieHole, Jessica Alba has recently dropped the option to play the role of Jeannie in the film adaptation of I Dream of Jeannie. Though I will miss the opportunity to glance at Alba in the type of outfits I would expect here to wear in Jeannie, her role in Awake sounds much more interesting. Teaming up with Hayden 'Vader' Christensen in the upcoming psychological thriller, which will supposedly do to surgery what Jaws did to sharks... or what Psycho did to showers?

Awake tells the story of a man [Christensen] who suffers from "anesthetic awareness" and therefore comes to right in the middle of surgery. Though I'd probably blame the anesthesiologist before making a thriller of a story out it, there you go. Jessica Alba will play the man's wife and a character that will obviously have her own issues.

There is currently no finalized release date for Awake.

Stay tuned for updates.
