Watchmen This film continues down its rocky start
After having numerous issues with production, budget constraints, and Paramount in general, The Watchmen has been released from Paramount. Ok, to be blunt, Paramount has shutdown any chance of production of Watchmen; at least with them.

Watchmen Idles

According to Variety, Paul Greengrass [director] and company have been forced to a halt by Paramount, who has completely given up on the project Watchmen, based on the graphic novel The Watchmen. Production for Watchmen was supposed to begin this summer by Paramount, even though Paramount had been slowly pulling back involvement for some time. Obviously, there is now no production date set for this film.

The only good to come out of this is that it seems that Paul Greengrass is still aboard and the script is available to any studio who wants to fund it. More Watchmen updates as they happen.
