Wolverine needs to have a serious sit-down with Bryan Singer.
I recently posted an article about how it looked like
20th Century Fox's X-Men
3 was finally back on track and things were beginning
to roll smoothly. Well, it turns out a vehicle got in the way and has completely
de-railed the engine. Crap, sorry for the analogy, Matthew Vaughn has left
the director's chair for X-Men 3.
X-Men 3 Loses Vaughn
After Vaughn worked his ass off to help create
a supposedly impressive script and talk Fox into letting Kelsey Grammar
become The Beast [nice choice in my opinion], he has opted to bounce off
the entire project. When initially asked about why Matthew Vaughn would
leave a project that he claimed to have 'loved,' the only answers would
come in the form of 'personal reasons.' However, in the latest statement
it seems that Matthew Vaughn was not down for an extended move to the US
and decided that he would rather remain closer to home.
No, I am not joking, this does seem to be the main reason for Matthew Vaughn
not continuing on with the X-Men 3 project. However, don't let
this get you down, according to AICN
we are supposedly going to get an announcement within a couple days of who
the new director may be and who will stand in for the part of Angel. According
to Avi Arad, 20th Century Fox is still fully behind the film and expect
this X-Men film to be the best one yet.
Also, it has been rumored that Bryan Singer has been approached again about
taking the reins of X3, but don't get your hopes up.
