Pinky and the Brain: Volume 2 DVD Pinky and the Brain: Volume 2
We have been given the opportunity to check out quite a few entertaining animations this holiday season including the latest volume of Pinky and The Brain.

Released on December 5th, Pinky and the Brain: Volume 2, is one of those few animated series that features a hilarious formula if you pay attention for longer than a couple episodes. Like the Professor on Gilligan's Island, the Brain is a genius and, instead of working to get off a desolate island, strives to take over the world. Huge aspirations for a special mouse I know, and he does not get any help from his partner in crime, Pinky. Like Gilligan, Pinky is always there to accidentally foil any plans of world domination; all with humorous result.

Pinky and The Brain is solid animated entertainment. Seriously, the episodes work and are fun for adults to watch by themselves or with the kids. Even better, you should never tire of the show's opening theme song.

Alright, I'll just admit it -- I used to jam this show during my younger days. You know, when I was nineteen or so. Wha!

Pinky and the Brain: Volume 2

In Pinky and The Brain Volume 2, produced by Steven Spielberg, two lab mice (one a genius, the other insane) living in the Acme labs seek to formulate a plan for the duo, led by Brain, to take over the world. In each episode, Pinky and the Brain take on each attempt with a dry wit and humor and likely a parody of other media.

Again the extras really didn't do it for me, but I must say that it is always a pleasure to see Mark Hamill branching out. Does Luke Skywalker have a hand in everything or what?

The extra is titled “The Audition” and features Mark Hamill and Wayne Knight of Seinfield come to a casting call. While auditioning they get a surprise voice-coaching lesson from the original Pinky & The Brain voices, Maurice LaMarche (The Brain) and Rob Paulsen (Pinky). Neat, but the episodes themselves are better.

For those of you who dig Steven Spielberg, he is one of the minds behind Pinky, or is it the Brain?

Pinky and the Brain: Volume 2 is out on DVD now.

Since the DVD is yet another solid purchase for adults and kids alike, why not win yourself a copy!

Stay tuned for updates.
